Glasford International Deutschland continues to grow

Klaus-Dieter Weinzierl, new partner of Glasford International Deutschland

Munich (fa). For the executive search company Glasford International, 2020 is the year of growth. After the successful integration of the operative business of the well-known Management Beratung München (MBM), there is a further merger that drives the expansion of the company. At the beginning of 2020, Glasford International was able to bring in Klaus-Dieter Weinzierl, the long-standing top manager of a well-known automotive supplier, as a partner.

Glasford International Deutschland was founded in Munich in 1997 and has since been successful in filling top management and key positions both in Germany and worldwide. Many longstanding clients have been relying on the extensive expertise of the company for more than 20 years and candidates also appreciate the constant and confidential exchange. Glasford International Deutschland relies on a large and constantly growing organisation with partners in 30 countries

Mr. Weinzierl, an engineer in process engineering, can rely on more than 25 years of experience in industry and especially in the automotive sector. The long-standing manager has an established network of renowned automobile manufacturers and suppliers in Germany and worldwide. Mr. Weinzierl started his professional career as a development engineer for a globally active automotive supplier as early as 1994 and quickly gained experience in international project management, acquiring a profound knowledge of the entire product cycle process chain: from sales, design, development, production planning, change management, quality to production and logistics. He then worked for many years in sales management and successfully built up new markets and customers. The successes did not go unnoticed for long and Mr. Weinzierl took over the management of a business unit with complete P&L responsibility. Up until 2017, Mr. Weinzierl worked for the company as Senior VP, with overall management responsibility in large product segments and the Asia region. He was a key contributor to the company’s growth through the development of new products and business areas as well as the expansion into new regions such as the USA, Eastern Europe, China, India, Thailand, Malaysia and South Africa. He is familiar with the implementation of Corporate Strategy, Marketing and Organization projects as well as large-scale cross-functional efficiency improvement and cost reduction programs.

In 2017 Mr. Weinzierl decided to give up his work in the industrial company and became self-employed. Thanks to his extensive experience in strategy development and business development, he has been successfully supporting clients from a wide range of industries ever since. His first contact with Executive Search Consulting came during the merger of MBM and Glasford International Germany. Joint synergies and a convincing cooperation led Mr. Weinzierl to the decision to become a partner of Glasford International. “The cooperation with the renowned executive search organization is a perfect complement to Glasford International’s growth strategy in the industrial and automotive sector, to which I can contribute my experience and network excellently”, explains Mr. Weinzierl.

Managing Director David Buchberger is also confident: “With Klaus-Dieter Weinzierl, we have gained another valuable partner who brings with him not only excellent technical knowledge from the industrial project business and a high-ranking network from the automotive industry, but who above all is an excellent personal fit for our team. We are looking forward to this collaboration and to a successful year 2020 together”.
